The summer heat seems to intensify year by year. Furthermore, it is known that children, being shorter than adults, are more susceptible to the heat reflected from surfaces.
On the other hand, for children, summer vacation means the arrival of fun! It remains a delightful season for playing outdoors, traveling, and engaging in sports.
Therefore, this summer, FRaU, in collaboration with Kao and Kosugiyu Harajuku, will host "Hiyashima School 2026," a workshop for elementary, junior high, and high school students. This event aims to provide fun learning about heat countermeasures and equip participants with the knowledge to enjoy the summer safely and happily.
Kao's session, which focuses on heat countermeasures research, will teach practical strategies that can be implemented immediately. The latter half of the workshop will include hands-on experiences with Kao's latest technologies.
Additionally, Dr. Tadaaki Imaizumi, a popular zoologist known for supervising "The Encyclopedia of Regrettable Creatures," will discuss "The Relationship Between Living Creatures and Heat." After hearing his talk, you might feel inspired to visit a zoo and observe animals.
This workshop is essential for those involved in sports, such as club activities, as it offers immediately applicable heat countermeasures. It might even serve as a one-day solution for summer vacation research projects. It's a perfect program for summer break, where learning is integrated with fun.

Event Held in March Had 100% Participation
In March 2026, as the first event, "FRaU x Kao x Kosugiyu Harajuku Hajimete Sentō 2026" was held for preschoolers. Children enthusiastically took on the challenge of washing their own hair while having fun. The venue was filled with smiles, and many post-event surveys indicated that it was an unforgettable experience for both children and parents.

In "FRaU x Kao x Kosugiyu Harajuku Hajimete Sentō 2026," held in March 2026 for preschoolers, children bathed on their own. The expressions of the children reporting "I did it!" to their parents waiting in the rest area were particularly memorable.

This experiential workshop lets you learn, touch, cool down a bit, and even take home hints for your research projects. Please experience a time where you can realize that learning is enjoyable, to help you power through this summer with energy.
