Mao Hyodo, Neru Nagahama, and Rihou Nakamura Star in Lavish Ensemble for the Launch of 'VOCE 2026 First-Half Best Cosmetics,' Japan's Most Trusted Ranking

The beauty industry’s biggest celebration, 'Best Cosmetics,' is here once again! This year, a staggering 2,383 cosmetic products were entered. Seventy-two beauty professionals have carefully selected the 'cosmetics we most recommend to VOCE readers' through comprehensive evaluations that include trendiness, usability, skin sensation, and price. After three months of planning, we present you with a genuine ranking that even reveals exactly 'who scored which product by how many points'!

Adding sparkle to this issue’s spreads are the glamorous actresses Mao Hyodo, Neru Nagahama, and Rihou Nakamura. The three-day model shoot kicked off with Neru Nagahama. Thanks to her exceptional expressiveness that perfectly captures the essence of cosmetics, the shoot wrapped up more than an hour ahead of schedule. Afterward, seeing the award-winning products laid out on the table, she excitedly said, 'I already bought this one!' and 'I’ve been eyeing this blush…♡,' showing her immediate enthusiasm for the Best Cosmetics.

On the second day, Rihou Nakamura arrived—frequently requested by makeup artists for regular beauty features. Amid a lineup of summery styling, she effortlessly rocked an off-the-shoulder outfit that many would find challenging to pull off. Staff praised her continuously: 'She’s beautiful down to her bone structure!' and 'Mesmerized by her shoulder lines!' With a charming smile, she responded, 'If I get this much praise, maybe I should make it my new charm point! (laughs).'

On the final day, Mao Hyodo (exclusive model for non-no) joined us, rushing straight from drama filming and live broadcast appearances. She wore the 'Grand Prize' winner from the makeup category—the most anticipated product of all. Responding flawlessly to the editorial team’s request for a 'glamorous look worthy of the Grand Prize,' her very first shot was picture-perfect. Despite her busy schedule, she delivered with outstanding focus.
