Yuka Nakamae's New Essay Collection 'Drop Poroporo' to be Released on April 23

Yuka Nakamae, an essayist known for works such as 'Suki yo, Toumorokoshi.' and 'Mishin wa Sawaranai no' (both by hayaoki books), will release her latest essay collection, 'Drop Poroporo,' from Kodansha on April 23, 2026. The book is priced at 1,870 yen (including tax), is B6 size, and has 256 pages, with ISBN 978-4-06-543403-1. The cover illustration is by Kae Hama, and the book design is by Naoko Nakui. This new publication is an expanded version of her previously self-published zine, also titled 'Drop Poroporo,' which quickly sold out. The new edition includes 9 extensively revised essays and 6 newly written essays. To celebrate the release, a talk event and signing session will be held at Daikanyama Tsutaya Books on April 28, 2026, from 19:00 to 20:30. Yuka Nakamae is a Hyogo-born essayist who began writing for various media after her essays were featured in 'Hobonichi' in 2017.
