Our company supports April Dream, which aims to make April 1st a day to share dreams.

This press release is the dream of "Koborin Co., Ltd."

Our dream is to create a society where no one facing difficulties that cannot be solved by general-purpose or standard specifications is left behind, and where each individual can achieve "freedom of posture and movement" and live a more free and personal life.

Electric wheelchairs are sometimes perceived simply as "tools for movement."

However, we believe that is not enough.

・ Being able to go where you want to go

・ Being able to choose a posture with less discomfort

・ Being able to sit for a long time

・ Being able to move and spend time according to one's own will

These are not just functions; they are the essential foundation that supports each person's unique way of life.

There are people whose bodies do not fit off-the-shelf wheelchairs.

While it is often considered sufficient "if they can just move," there are individuals who suffer from postural discomfort, pain, fatigue, and are forced to give up on what they want to do.

We do not want to leave such people behind.

Our Past Initiatives

Through the modification and customization of electric wheelchairs and the development of "Hineru," equipped with posture-changing functions, we have addressed posture maintenance and physical conditions that cannot be handled by off-the-shelf products.

We are committed to manufacturing tailored to each individual, encompassing not only the ability to move, but also the ability to choose comfortable postures, sit for long periods, and spend time in a way that suits them.

We are not a company that just makes electric wheelchairs.

We believe in possibilities and make it our business to increase what people can do.

For example,

・ Suffering from poor posture and unable to sit for long periods

・ Current wheelchairs do not expand their range of daily life

・ Unable to find options that suit their physical condition

・ Having a desire to "do this," but unable to achieve it due to equipment limitations

For such concerns, we have engaged in repeated dialogues and sought answers, one wheelchair at a time.

What is Hineru?

It is our original posture-changing function.

The name comes from the characteristic of "hineru" (twisting) the body. Hineru is pronounced "Hai-neru." In addition to electric tilt and recline, it is equipped with unique functions such as lateral flexion (tilting), rotation (twisting), and vertical movement (extending/contracting).

What we want to create is a society where people do not have to suppress their desires, even with disabilities or illnesses.

Being able to change posture when desired.

Being able to go where you want to go.

Being able to build your life in a way that suits you.

We believe that the accumulation of these experiences leads to living a life true to oneself.

This dream is still halfway there.

But it has already begun.

We have gradually realized it by engaging in dialogue with our customers, devising solutions, and giving them form.

Going forward, we will continue to challenge ourselves to realize a society that does not give up on "freedom of posture and movement," by connecting with individuals concerned, their families, supporters, medical and welfare professionals, educational institutions, companies, and local communities.

This is not an April Fool's dream story.

This is the future we are serious about achieving.

Our company accepts individual consultations regarding cases where standard products are difficult to adapt, or concerning posture and movement. We welcome consultations and requests for collaboration from users themselves, their families, and medical and welfare professionals.
