At 'TEA KOBE - Spring/Summer Collection 2026' held in Kobe Kitano, students from Professor Yoshimichi Ohara's seminar of the Faculty of Humanities and Carbon herb farm (Faculty of Pharmacy students) will exhibit booths on Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14. Carbon herb farm is an herb cultivation project by volunteer students from the Faculty of Pharmacy at Kobe Gakuin University. They use herbs grown on fallow fields to produce and sell herbal teas and miscellaneous goods, and also disseminate the appeal of herbs and agriculture to the region through workshops. Additionally, at the seminar held on Sunday, June 14, Professor Yoshimichi Ohara will give a lecture on 'A Quick Review of the History of Tea Leaves', and the student group 'Bousai Joshi' (Disaster Prevention Girls), composed of female students from the Department of Social Disaster Prevention in the Faculty of Contemporary Sociology, will give a lecture on 'Heart and Body Care for Disaster Victims'. They will also serve as support staff for the overall event operation. ・Carbon herb farm Ms. Kaho Onishi, a 4th-year Faculty of Pharmacy student, cultivates 12 types of herbs on her family's fallow fields. They will sell blended teas (tea leaves) made from home-grown herbs that make the most of the natural aroma and color of the ingredients, as well as plant-dyed miscellaneous goods made by her family. *Tasting samples of the blended tea will also be available.
