Kintetsu Japan Travel Okinawa Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture; President: Shusaku Mita; hereinafter 'Kintetsu Japan Travel Okinawa') has been entrusted with the 'Fiscal Year 2026 Support Project for Strengthening In-Prefecture Distribution of Locally Produced Agricultural, Forestry, Fishery, and Food Products' (※), and as part of this initiative, will implement the 'OKINAWAN FOODS Receipt Campaign 2026' from June 15 to August 31, 2026, targeting tourists visiting Okinawa Prefecture, offering chances to win locally produced food items.
By purchasing goods at over 20 designated campaign stores—including farm stands and roadside stations—within Okinawa Island, customers can enter a campaign to win prizes such as an 'Ishigaki beef sukiyaki set,' with 200 winners in total.
※ 'Fiscal Year 2026 Support Project for Strengthening In-Prefecture Distribution of Locally Produced Agricultural, Forestry, Fishery, and Food Products'
This project, implemented by the Okinawa General Bureau of the Cabinet Office, aims to promote sales of locally produced agricultural, forestry, fishery, and food products by connecting local producers and food manufacturers with tourism businesses, thereby revitalizing Okinawa's primary industries and related sectors.
Luxury Prizes (Left) Premium Ishigaki Beef Ribeye for Sukiyaki (Right) Blue Seal Ice Cream Assortment (12 pieces)
The campaign aims to help tourists discover the appeal of Okinawan agricultural, forestry, fishery, and processed food products, encouraging them to consciously 'buy' and 'eat' local ingredients. Additionally, as part of our unique initiative, we aim to create new tourism routes by integrating rich natural attractions—Okinawa's treasure—with experiences at 'roadside stations and farm stands' featuring local produce, and cultural experiences at heritage sites such as Shuri Castle and Katsuren Castle Ruins. Through this initiative, we aim to foster a 'cycle of consumption' where tourists purchase local products during their trip and later repurchase them via e-commerce sites after returning home.
Furthermore, by analyzing purchase data, we will visualize tourist routes and consumption behaviors to evaluate effective sales strategies and contribute to the revitalization of Okinawa's agricultural, forestry, fishery, and related industries.
Moreover, as a unique initiative, we will utilize 'Moreact,' a social contribution promotion service provided by Kansai Electric Power Co., Inc., to encourage participation in the receipt campaign and visits to farm stands. By creating touchpoints with local products before, during, and after travel, we aim to promote purchasing behavior driven by understanding and empathy toward Okinawa's food culture and local products.
