In the latter half of the last season, while many other companies were seen to be deploying products with package changes in Kamikochi's stores, our company was searching for "Kamikochi original" product development for both contents and outer packaging.
Against this backdrop, centered on our flagship product, printed cookies, we decided that a series expansion strongly highlighting Kamikochi's uniqueness would be possible by adding langue de chat and galettes utilizing Nagano-grown apples, and thus proceeded with product development.
After approximately five months of development, three new souvenir sweets were born, integrating the charm of Kamikochi's nature and scenery with Nagano ingredients.
Future Development
Going forward, we will further strengthen the development of regional exclusive products, including printed cookies, and promote the development of original products in collaboration with various tourist destinations, roadside stations, and local facilities.
By leveraging the unique characteristics and tourism resources of each region and shaping them into souvenirs that allow visitors to take home the local charm, we aim to contribute to enhancing the value of tourist destinations and revitalizing local communities.
