Gion Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sagamihara City, Kanagawa Prefecture; President: Akihiko Gion), a comprehensive logistics business, will open a new "Sanyo Center" in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture, and officially commence operations on April 2, 2026. The Sanyo Center will serve as a logistics hub for a major supermarket, primarily responsible for food management and delivery.

We will leverage our accumulated expertise and high-quality logistics services based on our "self-sufficiency" principle to strongly support the stable supply and store expansion of the supermarket in the Chugoku-Shikoku area.

Background of the New Center's Establishment

In the current food retail industry, in addition to increasing logistics costs and driver shortages, consumer demand for freshness has risen more than ever before.

To respond to these changes in market conditions and to fulfill our role as a logistics partner for major supermarkets accelerating their nationwide expansion, we have decided to establish the new "Sanyo Center" in Hiroshima Prefecture.
