BOURGEOIS MAGAZINE 10th Anniversary Photo Exhibition to be Held at Shinjuku Kitamura Photo Shop Starting May 23

Shinjuku Kitamura Photo Shop, operated by Kitamura Co., Ltd., will host the 'MASHA PHOTO EXHIBITION Presented by BOURGEOIS,' a photo exhibition commemorating the 10th anniversary of the art book published by BOURGEOIS MAGAZINE in 2025. The exhibition runs from May 23 (Sat) to June 7 (Sun), 2026.

Since its launch in 2015, BOURGEOIS MAGAZINE has acted as a bridge between Tokyo and London, offering the appeal of a magazine that feels like an art photo book.

■ Theme: 'ASH/RED' - What does one think when the ordinary everyday life is suddenly lost?

BOURGEOIS MAGAZINE is a Japanese-English bilingual magazine launched in 2015 by editor-in-chief YUSUKE.D.MARIA to connect people and cities.

For its 10th-anniversary project, the exhibition explores the idea that in a world where it is hard to distinguish truth from fiction due to social media, people should spend their time and money on experiences rather than material goods.

As we age, we experience partings along with encounters, and illness can strike suddenly even in healthy times. What do we feel when our ordinary days are lost? The works aim to convey the fleeting yet beautiful realization that life is not eternal.
