New 'Ginger Sauna' Debuts at Shimanami Onsen Kisuke no Yu with 5th Gen 'Mark5' Stove

Kisuke Co., Ltd. has announced that Shimanami Onsen Kisuke no Yu (Imabari City, Ehime) will renovate its '307 Sauna Koya' and begin operations as a 'Ginger Sauna' starting June 6, 2026.

The centerpiece of this renovation is the introduction of 'Mark5,' the fifth in a series of domestic original sauna stoves developed by Kisuke's sauna brand, 'kSc -kisuke Sauna club-.' Designed specifically to complement steam containing ginger extract, the stove aims to envelop the entire space in gentle heat.

The allure of the Ginger Sauna lies in the sensation of being gradually warmed to the core while surrounded by steam. The interplay of scent, steam, and heat provides a gentle yet powerful thermal experience that differs from conventional saunas.

This initiative responds to the growing interest in saunas and the demand for 'memorable sauna experiences' that encompass scent and ambiance. The '307 Sauna Koya,' originally produced by kSc in 2021, holds special significance as the brand's starting point.

Furthermore, the facility completed a new outdoor air bathing area in the men's open-air section in February 2026. By integrating the sauna, hot springs, and air bathing, the facility aims to provide a higher quality of relaxation for local residents, cyclists, and tourists alike.
