Kirin Holdings Company, Limited (President and COO: Takeshi Nanpo) announced the release of its "Environmental Report 2026" on June 30, 2026 (Tuesday).

Key Disclosure Highlights for This Year:

Scenario Analysis Integrating Climate and Nature-Related Information, Risk and Opportunity Assessment Conducted

Kirin Holdings began scenario analysis immediately after the TCFD*1 final recommendations were published in 2017 and has utilized it for management decisions based on future environmental changes. In this report, we have updated our climate-related scenarios based on the latest international knowledge and newly developed nature-related scenarios. By integrating both, we can comprehensively understand related environmental issues and use this analysis for risks, opportunities, and financial impacts related to the Kirin Group's business. (Environmental Report, pages 17-20)

*1 Abbreviation for The Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures.

Establishment of FLAG Target and Clarification of Deforestation Prevention Measures

In March 2026, the Kirin Group re-obtained SBT Net-Zero*2 certification and established a new FLAG*3 target covering emission reductions from forests, land use, and agriculture. The newly established FLAG target aims to reduce GHG*4 emissions by 33% by 2030 compared to 2019 levels*5. Furthermore, this environmental report identifies coffee, palm oil, and paper as high-risk items, and we will strengthen the development and implementation of management systems to prevent deforestation. (Environmental Report, page 29)

*2 A certification by SBTi, an international initiative established in 2015 by four organizations (CDP, UN Global Compact, World Resources Institute, and WWF), for greenhouse gas emission reduction targets aligned with the Paris Agreement's goal of keeping the global temperature rise well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels and pursuing efforts to limit it to 1.5°C. It is a plan to strive for GHG emission reductions and achieve "net zero" by offsetting the remaining difficult-to-abate emissions with absorption from the atmosphere. *3 FLAG is an abbreviation for Forest, Land and Agriculture. It is a GHG emission reduction target from agriculture, forestry, and other land use required by SBTi, which certifies the setting of science-based GHG reduction targets. *4 Greenhouse Gas. *5 Accelerating the execution of the Scope 3 transition plan through re-acquisition of SBT Net-Zero certification and establishment of FLAG target | 2026 | KIRIN - Kirin Holdings Company, Limited.

Water and Land Use Risk Assessment Based on SBTs for Nature*6 Methodology and Contribution to TNFD*7 Related Guidance Development

We conducted risk assessments and prioritization for water and land use from procurement to directly managed manufacturing sites based on the methodology recommended by the technical guidance of SBTs for Nature. (Environmental Report, page 21)

Additionally, we assessed dependencies, impacts, risks, and opportunities for biological resources in line with TNFD's LEAP approach*8. In addition to the analysis of black tea leaves conducted so far, we delved deeper into the challenges in procurement (production) regions for nine priority agricultural products. (Environmental Report, pages 23-25)

Furthermore, we participated in the pilot testing of the "State of Nature" indicator for the Nature Positive Initiative*9. In addition, New Belgium Brewing's Fort Collins Brewery participated in the pilot program for TNFD Nature Transition Plans. Through these participations, we are working to enhance nature-related disclosures and practices*10. (Environmental Report, page 26)

*6 A movement towards setting science-based targets for the sustainable use of natural capital, in contrast to SBTi's science-based targets for climate change. *7 Abbreviation for Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures. A framework for risk management information disclosure that enables companies to report on and act on risks and opportunities related to natural capital. *8 An approach recommended by TNFD for assessing corporate risks and opportunities related to nature. *9 An organization launched by 27 of the world's largest conservation organizations, research institutions, companies, and financial coalitions. It aims to promote coordination on the definition, consistency, and use of the term "Nature Positive" and to support broader, long-term efforts to achieve results. *10 Participation in TNFD Nature Transition Plan Pilot Program: Developing a Nature Transition Plan at a water-risk brewery in New Belgium Brewing | 2025 | KIRIN - Kirin Holdings Company, Limited.
