Kirin Brewery Company, Limited (President Hideki Horiguchi, hereafter Kirin Brewery)'s flagship brand "Kirin Ichiban Shibori Draft Beer" (hereafter "Ichiban Shibori") has been highly acclaimed by many customers as a beer made with the "Ichiban Shibori Method®*1", which squeezes only the most delicious part of the malt, based on the ambition to "brighten Japan with the joy brought by delicious beer" since its launch in 1990. With the desire to energize all of Japan with "deliciousness", "Ichiban Shibori" began activities in December 2025 to focus on the "new deliciousness" being born in various regions across the country, among the "delicious foods from all over Japan" that are essential for beer, and to deliver its appeal to more customers. We are now evolving this initiative into an activity to support producers across Japan and will be starting it in stages. This activity is an initiative to support producers taking on the challenge of creating "new deliciousness" across Japan through a portion of the sales of "Ichiban Shibori". Recently, producers have been facing serious issues such as climate change and a shortage of successors. To support producers who continue to challenge themselves with originality and advancement even under such circumstances, we will begin a public call for producers to participate in this activity starting Monday, April 6, 2026. Details of this activity, including future developments, will be announced sequentially. *1: A manufacturing method that uses only the first press wort that flows out first in the wort filtration process ## [Regarding Application for this Activity] In this activity, we are recruiting producers working on "new food" as follows.
