Kirifuda-supported third installment of Square Enix's 'Catrip' location-based mystery game released on May 2nd

Kirifuda Inc. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Hideyuki Akagawa) announced the release of 'Paranormasight Alt FILE23 Honjo Nyanyafushigi powered by Catrip Sumida' on May 2, 2026 (Saturday). This location-based immersive mystery walk was developed with support for Square Enix Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; President: Takashi Kiryu). The game uses a 'mystery-solving kit' and the smartphone app 'LINE,' allowing participants to experience the story while physically walking through the Kinshicho area of Sumida Ward, Tokyo. Kirifuda supports the system development that enables this immersive experience.

Content Overview
'Paranormasight Alt FILE23 Honjo Nyanyafushigi powered by Catrip Sumida' is the third entry in the 'Catrip' series, themed around 'traveling with a cat.' Participants explore real-world cityscapes to enjoy the story. Set in the Kinshicho and Ryogoku areas, players join 'Nyaro-kichi,' a mysterious cat that understands human speech, to challenge mysteries and phenomena related to the Seven Mysteries of Honjo.

Participants progress through the story by using the 'mystery-solving kit' and LINE app while walking through the city. Conversations with unique characters from 'Paranormasight' drive the narrative forward.

The project is planned and produced by the puzzle-solving production group 'Yodaka no Record.' Furthermore, with the backing of East Japan Railway Company (JR East), the project collaborates with Sumida Ward—the setting of Paranormasight—to provide mechanisms for enjoying the walk, such as coupons usable at local restaurants linked to the 'JRE WALLET' as the story progresses.
