Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo Launches a SABON Minty Spark Yuzu Summer Afternoon Tea

Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo will offer a refreshing summer afternoon tea in collaboration with SABON’s popular “Minty Spark Yuzu” collection from June 11 to August 31, 2026. Created by pastry chef Yohei Arimoto, the sweets express SABON’s vibrant fragrance and natural world through playful desserts. The lineup includes mint lime jelly inspired by SABON’s scrub jars, yuzu cream puffs, green apple mint mousse, yuzu white chocolate meringue, mango rose tart, weekend citron, and baked orange cheesecake. The premium-plan-exclusive white chocolate mousse with yuzu mint jelly is served with cooling mint powder and smoke, creating a special presentation that evokes being wrapped in SABON’s fragrance. The savory items, created by restaurant head chef Yuho Hozumi, add Kimpton’s playful touch. A standout item is an “edible body scrub” inspired by SABON’s iconic body scrub, pairing sea bream carpaccio with herbs, salt textures, and a refreshing yuzu aroma. Other savories include green pea mousse with yuzu mint jelly and a yuzu pepper chicken hot sandwich. The premium-plan-exclusive signature drink, “Yuzu Mint Blanche,” combines a mint-scented beverage with yuzu syrup, grapefruit, and tonic water. It is topped with fluffy mint mousse inspired by shower oil foam, while the glass rim is decorated with yuzu powder reminiscent of a scrub. The afternoon tea is available by advance reservation at District Brasserie, Bar, Lounge on the second floor of Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo. Service runs from 11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with last entry at 3:00 p.m., and each seating is limited to 120 minutes. Guests can also receive special SABON gifts, including a refreshing head scrub sample, Sparkling Yuzu body scrub, and a return ticket. Customers who present the ticket at participating SABON stores in the Kanto area and purchase at least one item worth 550 yen or more will receive a 100ml Sparkling Yuzu shower oil. During the campaign, customers shopping at SABON Lumine Shinjuku can also receive a special ticket for 10% off afternoon tea reservations.
