KidZania, Fukuoka and Kumamoto Prefectures Co-host Industry-Academia-Government Workshop for Jr. High and High School Students: 'Cosmopolitan Campus'

Application period: Monday, June 8, 2026 – Wednesday, July 15, 2026 Event dates: Tuesday, July 28 – Sunday, September 6, 2026 (4 days total) KCJ GROUP Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Michinari Enya; hereinafter "KCJ GROUP"), which plans and operates the children's vocational and social experience facility "KidZania", in co-sponsorship with Fukuoka and Kumamoto prefectures, will hold the industry-academia-government collaborative workshop for junior high and high school students "Technology Talent Incubation Academy 2026: Semiconductor Course for Creating the Future" (hereinafter "the Workshop") starting Tuesday, July 28. Accordingly, participant recruitment will begin on Monday, June 8 via a dedicated application form (participation fee: free). This is the fourth time the workshop has been held since its first in 2023, and this year it newly includes junior and senior high school students from Kumamoto Prefecture. Key visual: Last year's workshop scene The purpose of this workshop is to learn about the cutting-edge technology of semiconductors, which are essential in modern life, from researchers and engineers at world-leading companies, and to provide participants with an opportunity to think about their future career and educational paths. It is a practical four-day program that includes in-person lectures from leaders at the forefront of the semiconductor field, field trips to actual sites such as Kyushu University and Mitsubishi Electric's semiconductor factories, team collaboration with peers beyond school and grade boundaries, and a final idea presentation. This workshop is conducted as part of the dialogue×inquiry-based workshop "Cosmopolitan Campus" offered by KCJ GROUP. *The Cosmopolitan Campus plans to offer other themes as well (announcements will be made on the official website later). Through this workshop, KCJ GROUP hopes children will acquire the ability to thrive in an era of unpredictable future and sustain proactive learning with a global perspective, while also aiming to visualize the non-cognitive abilities of young people and support human resource development.
