Official Approval of 'Tokyo Metropolitan Government Subsidy for Examination Fees Relating to the Commendation of Products Considering Children's Safety' for the 20th Kids Design Award

It has been officially decided that the Tokyo Metropolitan Government will fully subsidize the examination fees for the 20th Kids Design Award, hosted by the Kids Design Association (NPO)*, through the "Tokyo Metropolitan Government Subsidy for Examination Fees Relating to the Commendation of Products Considering Children's Safety". *Chairman: Kazunori Sakai (Director, Executive Vice President, CHRO of TOPPAN Holdings Inc. / Director of TOPPAN Inc.) ## 20th Kids Design Award "Tokyo Metropolitan Government Subsidy for Examination Fees Relating to the Commendation of Products Considering Children's Safety" **** By fully subsidizing the examination fees for SMEs within Tokyo applying for the Kids Design Award's "Safety and Security Improvement Category", the program aims to promote the development and spread of products that consider children's safety. **** To receive the subsidy, all of the following criteria must be met: 1. The application category must be the "Safety and Security Improvement Category", and the features of the submitted work must be recognized as aligning with the intent of this category. 2. Must be an SME or sole proprietor as defined in Article 2 of the Small and Medium-sized Enterprise Basic Act. 3. The location of the head office stated on the certificate of registered information must be within Tokyo. *Even if criteria 1-3 are met, there are cases where applicants may be excluded. Please see below for details. **** Full subsidy of the 66,000 yen (tax included) examination fee, regardless of the examination results. **** 1. Check the "Apply for Tokyo Metropolitan Government Examination Fee Subsidy" box on the submitted work registration screen in My Page on the Kids Design Award website. 2.
