Kids Public Inc. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative: Naoya Hashimoto) has been commissioned by Yamakita Town, Ashigarakami-gun, Kanagawa Prefecture (Mayor: Yuji Yukawa), to begin providing its 'Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pediatrics Online' service to residents of Yamakita Town starting April 1, 2026 (Wednesday).

'Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pediatrics Online' is a service that allows users to consult with over 250 affiliated pediatricians, obstetricians, and midwives online, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

The 'Pediatrics Online' service was launched in 2016, and currently has approximately 150,000 registered users, has been introduced in over 230 municipalities, and has accumulated over 300,000 consultations.

In Yamakita Town, there are no obstetrics and gynecology or pediatrics medical institutions, making it necessary for residents to travel outside the town for medical examinations. This has been identified as a challenge for pregnant women and child-rearing households in terms of establishing a supportive environment.

Through our service, by providing an environment where residents can easily consult with specialists online, we aim to alleviate the loneliness, worries, and anxieties associated with pregnancy and childcare, and support online health and medical consultations so that Yamakita Town residents can experience pregnancy, childbirth, and child-rearing with peace of mind.

Utilizing 'Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pediatrics Online' to reduce the burden of out-of-town medical visits. Supporting pregnancy, childbirth, and child-rearing 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Yamakita Town has set forth the "3rd Yamakita Town Child and Child-Rearing Support Business Plan" and is developing a seamless support system from pregnancy to child-rearing, including the provision of childbirth celebration money, child-rearing goods provision projects, and home visits to all infant households.

However, the town recognized significant challenges such as the lack of obstetrics and gynecology and pediatrics medical institutions within the town, the burden of commuting outside the town for medical care, and the scarcity of pediatric clinics that offer easy consultations, as many operate on an appointment-only basis.

With the introduction of our online health and medical consultation service, 'Obstetrics & Gynecology and Pediatrics Online,' a system will be in place where residents can consult with pediatricians, obstetricians, and midwives online, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

This service will work in conjunction with the economic and in-person support already provided by Yamakita Town to help solve the town's challenges. This will promote the utilization of ICT in maternal and child health and contribute to the further enhancement of health support for the residents of Yamakita Town.

Residents of the town can consult with pediatricians, obstetricians, and midwives online for free.

• Anytime Consultation

  Questions are accepted via text 24 hours a day, and doctors and midwives will send text replies, in principle, within 24 hours.

• Nighttime Consultation

  Available from 6 PM to 10 PM on weekdays (10-minute slots by reservation) via LINE message chat or video call. Reservations can be made up to 15 minutes before the consultation starts.

• Daytime Midwife Consultation

  Residents can consult with a midwife via LINE message chat without a reservation from 1 PM to 5 PM on weekdays.

• Search Everyone's Consultations

  Users can search and view past consultation content and the corresponding answers from doctors and midwives.
