Kids Future Passport (KFP; Representative Director: Mariko Nakamoto; Location: Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture), an NPO that operates "Kodomo Gochimeshi," a service that turns local restaurants into children's cafeterias, aims to deliver "food security" and "smiles" to all children.
We support "April Dream," an initiative that encourages people to share their dreams on April 1st. This press release represents the dream of the NPO Kids Future Passport.

◾️ Background of this dream
In Japan, approximately one in seven children in school classrooms lives in relative poverty, and the reality is that some children face anxiety about their daily meals due to family circumstances. In response to this situation, we operate "Kodomo Gochimeshi" because we believe in the need for a system that ensures meals reach the children who truly need support. Through Kodomo Gochimeshi, we issue electronic coupons based on donations from companies and individuals, providing meals to children through local restaurants. As of the end of February 2026, we have provided 311,410 meals.
Feedback from users includes:
- "I let my child choose what they wanted, and we ordered it at the restaurant. I am very grateful that we were able to spend a time full of smiles, with my child saying it was delicious."
We shared this dream because we want to deliver meals to even more children through Kodomo Gochimeshi and have them feel "food security."

Through Kodomo Gochimeshi, we hope that not only will we deliver meals, but that these dining experiences will lead to the children's futures. We want them to move forward while envisioning positive versions of themselves, thinking, "This is who I want to be" or "This is the kind of adult I want to become."
It may be a small experience that starts with a meal, but if "Kodomo Gochimeshi" can be one of the triggers for them to envision their future, we would be very happy.

It has already been one year since I assumed the position of Representative Director in fiscal year 2025. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported the activities of "Kodomo Gochimeshi" over the past year. We have received warm messages from those who used Kodomo Gochimeshi, saying, "I was able to spend a time full of smiles with my child, enjoying a delicious meal," and encouraging words from supporting companies, saying, "We empathize with your activities and would love to cooperate." The children's smiles when they say "Delicious!" are the driving force behind our activities. "We want to deliver 'food security' and 'smiles' to all children"—this is our unchanging dream. I believe that continuing to share this dream every year on April Dream serves as a message that we will continue our activities. We look forward to your continued support for "Kodomo Gochimeshi."
◾️ What is Kodomo Gochimeshi?
"Kodomo Gochimeshi" is an initiative that started in July 2023 with the desire to deliver meals to a wider range of children facing hardship. Until now, the operation of children's cafeterias has often relied on the power of volunteers, and issues such as labor and funding shortages, as well as the difficulty of holding regular events, have been major challenges, creating high hurdles for sustainable activities. Therefore, KFP is promoting the "DX (digital transformation) of children's cafeterias" by utilizing IT and digital technology. Through "Kodomo Gochimeshi," which incorporates a "three-way win" mechanism, we support people's physical and mental happiness by providing nutritious meals to children.
