Delivering 'Food Security' and 'Smiles' to All Children

NPO Kids Future Passport (Representative Director: Mariko Nakamoto / Location: Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture), which operates the service 'Kodomo Gochimeshi' that transforms local restaurants into children's cafeterias, aims to deliver 'food security' and 'smiles' to all children.

Our company supports April Dream, an initiative to share dreams on April 1st. This press release is the dream of 'NPO Kids Future Passport'.

KFP operates the 'Kodomo Gochimeshi' project, which provides meals to children at local restaurants based on donations, with the goal of 'Delivering 'food security' and 'smiles' to all children'.

◾️Background of Sharing This Dream

In Japan, approximately 1 in 7 children in school classes are in a state of relative poverty, and many children face anxiety about their daily meals due to family circumstances. In response to this situation, we believe that a system is needed to ensure that meals reach children who truly need support, and we operate 'Kodomo Gochimeshi'. Through Kodomo Gochimeshi, we issue electronic coupons based on donations from corporations and individuals, delivering meals to children through local restaurants. As of the end of February 2026, we have provided 311,410 meals.

We have received feedback from users such as:

• 'I asked my child what they wanted and ordered it at the restaurant. I am very grateful that we were able to spend time full of smiles while enjoying delicious food.'

We want more children to receive meals through Kodomo Gochimeshi and feel 'food security'. It is with this desire that we share this dream.

◾️Experiences that Lead to Children's Future

Through Kodomo Gochimeshi, we hope not only to deliver meals but also for the dining experience itself to lead to children's future. We want them to move forward, envisioning positive futures such as 'I want to be like this' or 'I want to become an adult like this'.

It may be a small experience starting with a meal, but we would be very happy if 'Kodomo Gochimeshi' could be one of the triggers for them to envision their future.

◾️What is Kodomo Gochimeshi?

'Kodomo Gochimeshi' started in July 2023 as an initiative to deliver meals more widely to children facing hardship. The operation of children's cafeterias has often relied on volunteer efforts, and challenges such as lack of manpower, funding shortages, and difficulty in holding regular events have posed significant hurdles to sustainable activities. Therefore, KFP is promoting the 'DX of Children's Cafeterias' utilizing IT and digital technologies, and through 'Kodomo Gochimeshi,' which incorporates a 'three-party win' mechanism, we support the physical and mental well-being of children by providing them with nutritious meals.
