Kei Ai Star Real Estate Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Honjo City, Saitama Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Keiji Hanawa; hereinafter "the Company") has participated as a cooperating company in the youth talent development program "S.T.A.R. Project" (hereinafter "this Project"). At the final presentation of this Project, an idea themed "Easily training skilled workers with AI video manuals," conceived by a project participant (hereinafter "Creator") after visiting the Company's construction sites, was announced.
**Background of Participation: Supporting the "Growth" of Young People Who Will Lead the Next Generation, Creating a Sustainable Society** The Company views this Project as a platform for "growth support" for young talent challenging unknown fields, and simultaneously as part of regional co-creation aimed at a sustainable society. We believe it is crucial to nurture young talent who will lead the next generation to solve the challenges facing the construction industry. To go beyond existing frameworks, we welcomed students as Creators, provided actual construction sites, and created opportunities for dialogue with on-site employees, thereby supporting students in the process of touching upon the essence of social issues.
**■ Presentation Content: "Work-Supporting Glasses" Capturing the Reality of the Site** The participating Creators explored on-site challenges from a student's unique perspective, free from preconceived notions of the construction industry. By visiting the Company's construction sites and engaging in repeated dialogues with skilled workers, they derived a unique concept: the need for a mechanism that "naturally supports work" even when both hands are occupied, rather than merely "teaching." At the final presentation, a vision for a future construction site was proposed, where even inexperienced workers can perform tasks safely and without hesitation by formalizing the movements of skilled workers with AI and displaying procedures through AR glasses.
**The Company's Comments and Future Outlook** The fusion of the construction industry, often called blue-collar, with cutting-edge technology was a challenging theme, but the students' dedication to understanding the site and earnestly identifying problems was a great inspiration for our employees. We are confident that the presented "Work-Supporting Glasses" will update traditional instruction methods and serve as a significant catalyst for the digital native generation to feel closer to the construction industry. The Company will continue to strengthen cooperation with local communities and industries, support the growth of young talent who will lead the next generation, and contribute to creating an environment that looks ahead to the future of the construction industry.
**■ What is the S.T.A.R. Project (※1)?** This project solicits ideas from young people aged 15-25 with ties to Saitama Prefecture to solve challenges faced by local governments and companies within the prefecture. It refines these ideas using their past experiences and latest technologies, and provides support for their implementation. The Company participated in this Project with the theme of "Aiming to be the most admired group of skilled workers in Japan, recruiting and training employee craftsmen," utilizing the latest technology to resolve the shortage of skilled workers due to aging and succession issues.
