Kansai Electric Power Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture; President and CEO: Shusaku Mita; hereinafter 'Kintetsu Travel Okinawa') in the 'FY2026 Support Project for Strengthening In-Region Distribution of Local Agricultural, Forestry, Fishery Products, and Foods (Sales Promotion Demonstration Project)', commissioned by the Cabinet Office's Okinawa General Bureau. The initiative aims to promote purchases of Okinawan products and visualize consumer behavior.
This project aims to strengthen in-region distribution and expand local consumption by introducing tourists visiting Okinawa Prefecture to the charm of local agricultural, forestry, fishery, and food products, along with the food culture behind them, thereby encouraging consumption driven by understanding and empathy. Kintetsu Travel Okinawa will conduct demonstrations to connect tourism demand with product purchases through pre-travel promotions, pop-up stores at tourist sites on the main island, receipt campaigns, and other initiatives.
Moact will be utilized as a mechanism to encourage behavioral change among tourists at every stage—before, during, and after their trip—by creating digital touchpoints, promoting participation in receipt campaigns, encouraging island-wide circulation, and guiding post-travel repurchases and e-commerce conversions. This approach offers experiences beyond mere product purchases, such as exploring the region while engaging with Okinawan food culture and inspiring visitors to share the appeal of local products with others.
Furthermore, by analyzing purchase data accumulated in Moact, the project will visualize information touchpoints and tourist routes that lead to purchases, contributing to the development of a sustainable model for local production and consumption and in-region circulation.
Kansai Electric Power will continue to support the creation of socially beneficial travel experiences through Moact and contribute to regional revitalization through tourism.
