Daito Trust Construction Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kei Takeuchi) has begun a collaboration with BIOTECHWORKS-H2 Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Akihide Nishikawa; hereinafter referred to as "BIOTECHWORKS-H2"), a company possessing technology to convert waste into hydrogen energy without incineration, through Tokyo Metropolitan Government's "CVC and Startup Matching Support Program." The collaboration commenced in May 2026.

Through this collaboration, Daito Trust Construction will provide its extensive business fields, including its offices in Tokyo and managed properties, as demonstration sites, fully supporting the social implementation of BIOTECHWORKS-H2's innovative technology. As the first initiative, a demonstration experiment will be conducted over nine months starting in May 2026 at its business offices (8 branches) in Tokyo. Daito Trust Construction will cooperate in providing industrial waste generated from its offices and ensuring smooth collection and removal, while BIOTECHWORKS-H2 will jointly conduct surveys, composition analysis, and verification of conversion into hydrogen energy using this waste. Through these efforts, the aim is to build a highly effective circular model.

Currently, urban areas like Tokyo rely on incineration for the disposal of "mixed waste" that is difficult to recycle, posing a significant challenge due to the shortage of final disposal sites. To achieve Tokyo's "2050 Zero Emission Tokyo" vision, it is essential to resolve the issues of resource recovery from waste without relying on incineration and the widespread adoption of hydrogen, a next-generation energy source.

Beyond this collaboration, Daito Trust Construction aims to reduce CO2 emissions (addressing Scope 3) and suppress future waste disposal costs. In the future, the company plans to transform managed properties into "energy generation hubs" and contribute to the realization of a next-generation resource-circulating society by, for example, returning the generated hydrogen to the local community.
