Full-Scale Promotion of 'Takumi App' for Construction Site DX

Daito Trust Construction Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Kei Takeuchi) will launch a full-scale promotion of its construction management app, 'Takumi App,' for workers at its construction sites starting in May 2026. The 'Takumi App' is a tool that allows for centralized management of site information, featuring GPS-based entry/exit management, photo recording and storage for quality records, confirmation of material delivery schedules, and the creation and sharing of risk prediction activities (RKY). It was developed in 2022 to improve productivity at construction sites and address the '2024 problem.' Previously, workers had to write down risk predictions and countermeasures on paper, which hindered productivity. It was also difficult for site supervisors to grasp the situation in real-time. However, the app's usage rate remained at approximately 50% in fiscal 2025, making penetration among partner companies a challenge. Therefore, the company will introduce an incentive program where workers who perform RKY using the app will be awarded points that can be exchanged for products or electronic money, aiming for an 80% usage rate by the end of fiscal 2026. With the tightening of overtime regulations in the construction industry, operational efficiency through DX is urgent. The company is advancing the AI-based management of processes, budgets, quality, and safety under its 'AI Site Supervisor' initiative, aiming to improve operational efficiency by 20% by 2028. This fiscal year, the company also plans to build a system where AI assists in creating safety instructions for each site.
