Academia, METI, MHLW Division Chiefs, Industrial Physicians to Speak on May 21 - "Proactive Health Management to Protect the Working Generation" Symposium Announced

The Health and Management Association (located in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Directors: Norihide Takaya and Yuji Yamamoto), established in 2013 with the aim of promoting health management, is pleased to announce that its 12th symposium, "Proactive Health Management to Protect the Working Generation," will be held in a hybrid format (Bunkyo Civic Small Hall in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, and Zoom Webinar) on Tuesday, May 21, 2026. In Part 1, Professor Issei Komuro of the International University of Health and Welfare Graduate School will deliver a keynote speech on cardiovascular disease countermeasures in health management. Following this, Professor Komuro, Mitsunori Fukuda (Director, Healthcare Industries Division, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), Yasuhiro Sato (Director, Health Insurance Division, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare), and Emi Kawashima (CEO, Keep Health Inc.) will participate in a panel discussion, with Norihide Takaya (Representative Director of the Association, Chairman of Doyukai Medical Corporation) serving as moderator.

In Part 2, Professor Yutaka Matsuoka (Director, National Cancer Center Institute for Cancer Control) will deliver a keynote speech on cancer countermeasures in health management. Following this, Director Matsuoka, Director Fukuda (Healthcare Industries Division), Shinya Tsuruta (Director, Cancer and Disease Control Division, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare), and Michiyo Namba (Representative Director, Think Pearl Association) will participate in a panel discussion, with Yuji Yamamoto (Representative Director of the Association, Director, MINACARE Inc.) serving as moderator.

Thorough discussion on cardiovascular disease and cancer countermeasures in the workplace!

The Health and Management Association was established in May 2013 as an organization to promote and disseminate health management, with companies and insurers working together. In 2021, it became a general incorporated association to enhance its outreach. It aims to bring companies and insurers to the same table to discuss issues, foster human exchange with experts such as doctors and government officials, and deepen discussions on challenges and solutions from various perspectives.

This symposium, themed "Proactive Health Management to Protect the Working Generation," will delve into cardiovascular disease countermeasures in health management in Part 1 and cancer countermeasures in Part 2, with panelists including academics, division chiefs from METI and MHLW, and industrial physicians. This symposium is organized to help HR/General Affairs personnel, insurers, and management promote health management within their organizations.

Subsequently, underwent specialized industrial physician training at the Industrial Physician Practical Training Center, University of Occupational and Environmental Health, Japan, and served as an industrial physician at several companies, primarily Kao Corporation.

Currently, she has established Keep Health Inc., and while continuing to serve as an industrial physician for multiple companies, she provides consulting services to companies to support the health of female employees.

She also studied cardiovascular epidemiology in her doctoral program and continues her research as a visiting assistant professor.
