Experimental Comedy Live Fest 'Shimokita www. 2026' Involving the Entire Town of Shimokitazawa Will Be Held!

Keio SC Creation Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Kenji Kosakai, hereinafter: Keio SC Creation) will cooperate with the venue for the experimental comedy & music live festival 'Shimokita www. 2026' to be held from May 7 (Thu) to May 10 (Sun) by the Shimokita Shopping District Promotion Association (Chairman: Yoichiro Naganuma) and Shimokita GRIP LLC (Headquarters: Setagaya-ku, Tokyo, Representative: Yu Wada, hereinafter: Shimokita GRIP), which operates the free-admission comedy live 'Shimokita GRIP' in Shimokitazawa. Various places such as the grand staircase, inside stores, and the rooftop of 'Mikan Shimokita', an under-elevated facility at Shimokitazawa Station on the Keio Inokashira Line operated by Keio SC Creation, will experimentally become venues. In addition, at the 'Shimokita GRIP' theater 'Shimokita ZAWAZAWA', a comedy tournament 'Start Dash!' for comedians in their first year will be held. Projects with the theme of contributing to the community will also be implemented in various places, such as the 'Gomi-kiri Oh' aimed at beautifying the town's environment, and broadcasting videos of comedians at smoking areas in the town. This event started in May 2023, co-hosted by Mikan Shimokita and Shimokita GRIP, born from the desire of 'Shimokita GRIP' to 'experiment and see what happens if comedy lives, usually held in closed spaces, jump out into the streets of Shimokitazawa!'. In Shimokitazawa, where there are many theaters and live houses, the purpose is to propose new ways to enjoy Shimokitazawa by holding comedy and music lives, usually only seen indoors, in open spaces in the town, and to lead to the acquisition of new fan bases for the performers.
