Keikyu Department Store Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Yokohama City, Konan Ward, President: Ryosuke Shimada, hereinafter Keikyu Department Store), part of the Keikyu Group, and Yokohama City University (Yokohama City, Kanazawa Ward, President: Shinichi Chikano, hereinafter Yokohama City University) will hold the industry-academia collaboration project "Let's Create! Kami-Ooka Oshi Map" in two phases: from July 16 (Thu) to July 29 (Wed), 2026, and from August 6 (Thu) to August 19 (Wed).

This project is based on a proposal by Yokohama City University students in the "21st Kanagawa Industry-Academia Challenge Program" hosted by the Kanagawa Keizai Doyukai, and will be implemented as a commemorative project for the 30th anniversary of the opening of Keikyu Department Store and Wing Kami-Ooka.

This is a participatory event where we will solicit "recommended spots in Kami-Ooka" and "favorite shops" from local residents, and based on their input, complete a "map created by everyone."

Kami-Ooka has many charms, including long-established stores that have been loved by the community for many years, townscapes, and scenery cherished by people.

This project aims to provide local residents with new discoveries and visitors with an opportunity to learn about the charms of Kami-Ooka by collecting and visualizing the real voices of those who know the area well.

By combining the proposals from Yokohama City University students with the voices of the community, we will widely disseminate the charms of Kami-Ooka that are not found in guidebooks, and create a space to discover and share new local attractions with participants.

In addition, we will also hold special broadcasts of the Yokohama City University student podcast "Kusano-ne" and pop-up events introducing the university's learning and community collaboration activities, disseminating the charms of the region from a student's perspective.

On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, Keikyu Department Store will work with local residents through this project to discover and promote new attractions in Kami-Ooka, and to revitalize the local community for future generations.
