New au Financial Service Launches "au PAY Card Instant Issuance" on au PAY App

au Payment Co., Ltd. and au Financial Service Corporation will merge on July 1, 2026, and begin operations as the new au Financial Service. On the same day, they will launch "au PAY Card Instant Issuance" through the au PAY app, allowing applications to be completed and cards to be used in as little as a few minutes.

This service will enable customers to smoothly complete the entire process from application to usage of the au PAY Card within the au PAY app. Without waiting for the card to arrive, customers can use it for charging their au PAY balance, online shopping, and more, in as little as a few minutes. Additionally, to commemorate the service launch, a campaign will be held offering up to 22,000 Ponta Points to new au PAY Card members who meet specified conditions.

New Service: "au PAY Card Instant Issuance" on the au PAY App

Starting at 10:00 AM on July 1, 2026, au PAY Card applications will be available through the au PAY app. Instant screening will be conducted in as little as a few minutes, allowing immediate use for charging the au PAY balance without waiting for the card to arrive.

*If you do not select or are not authenticated after selecting the payment account registration for identity verification, instant screening may not be possible depending on the application details. Furthermore, the application acceptance hours for instant issuance are from 9:30 AM to 9:30 PM. Applications submitted between 9:30 PM and 9:30 AM the following day will be processed the next day.

Regarding "Exclusive to Instant Issuance Applications via au PAY App" - Total Up to 22,000 Ponta Points for New au PAY Card Members & Condition Completion!

1. Benefit Overview

Eligible individuals who newly join the "au PAY Card" or "au PAY Gold Card" via the "au PAY App" and use auto-charge to their au PAY balance will receive a total of up to 22,000 Ponta Points, combining the new membership & usage benefit and the au PAY App instant issuance benefit.

<Benefit Details>

1. New Membership & Usage Benefit

(1) For shopping of 2,000 yen (tax included) or more per transaction, 3 or more times from the month of enrollment until the end of the following month, 1,500 Ponta Points will be awarded for au PAY Card, and 5,000 Ponta Points for au PAY Gold Card.

(2) For shopping of 2,000 yen (tax included) or more per transaction, 3 or more times during the second month after enrollment (from the 1st to the end of the month), 1,500 Ponta Points will be awarded for au PAY Card, and 5,000 Ponta Points for au PAY Gold Card.

2. au PAY App Instant Issuance Benefit

(1) For instant issuance via the au PAY app, 2,000 Ponta Points will be awarded for au PAY Card, and 7,000 Ponta Points for au PAY Gold Card.

(2) For using auto-charge from au PAY Card or au PAY Gold Card to the au PAY balance within the benefit eligibility period, 5,000 Ponta Points will be awarded.

*The following are excluded from the shopping usage calculation:

au charges, UQ mobile charges, povo1.0 charges, povo2.0 charges, cash advance usage fees, canceled "au PAY Card (including Gold Card)" usage amounts and various fees, annual fees for "au PAY Gold Card," new issuance or reissue fees for ETC cards, cash advances, card loans, charges to au PAY balance, charges to e-money (all electronic payment services that can be used as a substitute for cash by charging a certain amount), and prepaid cards, etc.

*New Membership & Usage Benefits (1) and (2) will be determined within their respective eligibility periods. If the conditions for (1) are not met, but the conditions for (2) are met, only (2) will be awarded.

*Benefit determination will be made in the latter half of the fourth month including the enrollment month, and benefits will be awarded around the end of the following month.

Eligibility Conditions

1. New Membership & Usage Benefit

Customers who meet all of the following conditions at the time of benefit determination are eligible:

- Must have logged into the au PAY Card app at least once.

- Must have set up reception for au PAY Card campaign emails.

- Must have completed registration of the payment account for the contracted au PAY Card or au PAY Gold Card.

2. au PAY App Instant Issuance Benefit (for customers contracted with au/UQ mobile/povo1.0)

Eligible customers are those who applied for "au PAY Card" or "au PAY Gold Card" via instant issuance through the "au PAY App" during the campaign period*1, have used auto-charge to their au PAY balance, and meet all of the following conditions at the time of benefit determination:

- Auto-charge setting for au PAY*2 must be enabled.

- Must have set up reception for au PAY Card campaign emails.

- Must have completed registration of the payment account for the contracted au PAY Card or au PAY Gold Card.

*1: Eligible individuals whose application has been approved by the end of the month following their application. The enrollment date can be confirmed on the card mailing sleeve and the member-exclusive website.

*2: Auto-charge setting from au PAY Card (including au PAY Gold Card) is eligible. Auto-charge can be set up via the au PAY app at the time of instant issuance application or after enrollment. This service is only available to customers contracted with au/UQ mobile/povo1.0.
