KDDI eyelet Inc. announces today, April 1, 2026, the merger of eyelet Inc. and KDDI Digital Divergence Holdings Inc. to form the new "KDDI eyelet Inc. (hereinafter KDDI eyelet)," along with its new management structure.
As a core company of the "AI Integrator" within the KDDI Group, KDDI eyelet will maximize the results of customers' AI implementation by integrating the technical capabilities cultivated through cloud integration, data preparation (AI-Ready transformation), optimal AI model selection, and security assurance from the KDDI eyelet Group, with KDDI's communication infrastructure. We will provide one-stop support from AI project creation to development and operation.
Background and Future Outlook of "KDDI eyelet" Launch
In recent years, the utilization of AI in businesses has shifted from the "verification" phase to the "full-scale social implementation" phase. However, hurdles to implementation remain high, including data preparation (AI-Ready transformation), optimal AI model selection, and ensuring security.
KDDI eyelet was born from the integration of eyelet, which boasts top-class cloud integration achievements in Japan, with KDDI's sales and system engineering functions. Moving forward, it will maximize synergy with its group companies (KDDI Agile Development Center, Flywheel, ELYZA, KDDI Web Communications, Scrum Inc. Japan) to provide optimal solutions combining communication, AI, and systems.
By fiscal year 2028, the current engineering team of 1,698 members (as of April 1, 2026) will expand to approximately 3,000, contributing to the realization of a rich AI society with overwhelming speed and quality driven by AI-driven development.
This will enable KDDI eyelet to provide end-to-end support for customers' AI utilization, from concept formulation to development and operation, solving all challenges in a one-stop manner.

【Comment from Shugo Takagi, Representative Director and President】
"Today, I am deeply honored to announce the merger of KDDI Digital Divergence Holdings and eyelet, marking a new beginning as KDDI eyelet.
eyelet has supported the business transformation of over 2,500 customers as one of Japan's leading cloud integrators, providing total support from cloud introduction to design, development, and operation.
As AI significantly expands the possibilities for society and businesses, we, the KDDI eyelet Group, have assembled an end-to-end support system to accelerate 'AI social implementation – that is, implementing the power of AI into our customers' businesses.' This is achieved by leveraging the expertise of each group company, including cutting-edge cloud technology, AI-driven development for speed, quality improvement, and cost optimization, data preparation (AI-Ready transformation), and LLM development.
We will stand by our customers, addressing the challenges they face in AI introduction and utilization, and providing support as a partner from planning to development and operation.
With technology and inquisitiveness, we transform today's 'impossible' into tomorrow's 'possible.'
We, the KDDI eyelet Group, will continue to create a future where AI is rooted as a 'foundation supporting society' together with our customers.
Please look forward to the future of KDDI eyelet."
