Kawasaki to sequentially release retro sport model "Z900RS" series from August 1, 2026, adding new color "Candy Tone Greenish Blue" to standard model

Kawasaki Motors Japan Ltd. (Headquarters: Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture, President: Kenji Saeki) will release the retro sport models "Z900RS", "Z900RS SE", and "Z900RS CAFE" on August 1, 2026 (Saturday), and the "Z900RS Black Ball Edition" on September 1, 2026 (Tuesday).

The Z900RS series is a retro sport model that inherits the DNA of Kawasaki's historic masterpiece Z1, fusing classical styling with modern riding performance at a high level. Since its debut in 2017, it has been supported by many riders as a model that embodies Z's tradition and craftsmanship.

Refined ride comfort and convenience are achieved in the engine, chassis, and electronic control areas. The ETV (Electronic Throttle Valve) provides smoothness at low RPMs and powerful, exciting performance at high RPMs. It is also equipped with rider support functions such as KCMF (Kawasaki Cornering Management Function) utilizing IMU, KQS (Kawasaki Quick Shifter) compatible with up/down shifts, and electronic cruise control, further enhancing the joy and security of riding.

The domestic specification comes standard with a low seat, and the use of thick urethane foam and a narrow handlebar improves fit and ease of handling.

The "Black Ball Edition" with a blackout finish features an all-black style that exudes a striking presence. The meter bezel, headlight rim, handlebar, brake & clutch levers, front fender stays, radiator shroud, knee grip cover, fuel tank cap, chain, and front and rear wheels are all finished in black.

"Timeless" is not about staying the same, but about evolving while preserving the essence. The Z900RS is a model that passes on the Z philosophy to the future.

The "Z900RS SE", a high-grade model of the Z900RS, is a special edition that further enhances riding performance and quality.

Equipped with Brembo brake packages and Öhlins rear suspension, it achieves excellent controllability and a supple ride. It is a model for riders seeking sporty yet high-quality performance.

The front is equipped with Brembo ø300mm discs and M4.32 radial mount calipers. The small-diameter Nissin radial pump master cylinder and stainless steel mesh hoses enable linear and precise brake operation. The rear is equipped with an Öhlins S46 shock, which provides excellent grip and comfortable riding with its large piston and gas chamber. A remote preload adjuster is also included, making it easy to adjust for tandem riding or luggage.

Externally, the front forks feature gold-colored outer tubes and a plate engraved with the Öhlins logo. Special side cover emblems (RS part finished in red) and other details create a unique sense of specialness for the SE model.

The iconic Z1 fire-ball color follows the graphics of the 2018 model, but with enhanced saturation and brightness in orange and metallic black, it stands out with its vivid contrast as an SE model.

Furthermore, it is equipped with a USB Type-C power socket and a Mitsuba Sankowa GPS-compatible front and rear dual-camera drive recorder, providing comfort and peace of mind from daily use to touring.

The Z900RS series welcomes the cafe racer style "Z900RS CAFE" with a sportier atmosphere. By adding the individuality of the cafe racer style to the Z900RS, which fuses classical beauty with modern riding performance, it proposes a different kind of motorcycle life.

The distinctive front cowl not only creates a sporty impression but also provides wind protection. The low-position black-painted handlebars and specially designed seat achieve a balance of style and comfort. The hairline finish on the silencer and heat guard enhances its sophisticated sportiness.

The fuel tank features a rainbow line graphic as an homage to Kawasaki's legendary "Mach series" models. The KAWASAKI logo is expressed with a transfer film, allowing the base body color to show through, creating a unique presence. The side cover emblem is also finished in black, enhancing the overall unity.
