Kawasaki Unveils New KX450F and KX450FX – Flagship Models for Victory to Launch in Fall 2026

Kawasaki Motors Japan, Ltd. (Headquarters: Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture; President and Representative Director: Kenji Saeki) will launch the new flagship models "KX450F" and "KX450FX" in the fall of 2026.

The flagship KX450 series has been evolving for approximately 20 years as the pinnacle of the lineup.

The new KX450F was developed to pursue further victories. Based on extensive feedback from racing activities, both the engine and chassis have been thoroughly refined. It has evolved to allow riders to maximize the machine's performance in various situations. Improvements to the intake/exhaust system and optimization of the FI settings enhance throttle response, while achieving both strong low-end torque and increased mid-to-high-range output. This results in powerful acceleration from corner exits to straights. The adoption of a newly designed frame and improved swingarm enhances rear-wheel traction and controllability. Furthermore, an extended wheelbase improves straight-line stability, contributing to overall chassis performance.

The braking system features Brembo components on both the front and rear, delivering high braking power and excellent controllability. Additionally, the slim and compact bodywork allows for a high degree of rider position freedom, supporting more aggressive riding. The bike is also compatible with the "RIDEOLOGY THE APP KX2" smartphone application, enabling riders to adjust engine settings, electronic controls, and monitor vehicle status from their phone. This greatly improves the efficiency of setup work during races and enhances rider support functions. The styling adopts a slim, aggressive design that eliminates excess, emphasizing the presence of a Kawasaki racing machine, merging functional beauty and performance at a high level.

The new KX450F further refines its excellent performance, achieving sharp and stable running characteristics. It is an ideal machine for riders seeking victory, representing the evolution of the flagship motocrosser.

The KX450FX is based on the KX450F and is equipped with the practicality required for cross-country scenarios. The adoption of a front 21-inch/rear 18-inch wheel setup with enduro tires provides high traction and stability on various surfaces. Standard equipment includes a sealed chain, connectors for headlights and taillights, and a side stand. For the 2027 model, a large 7.5L fuel tank, skid plate, and handguards are added to enhance durability and convenience.
