Kawai Juku (hereinafter, Kawai Juku) has begun accepting applications from July 1 for the new "National Junior High and High School Integrated Course Test" (to be held in November 2026), aimed at 3rd-year junior high school students in integrated junior and senior high schools nationwide. Participation is free. Students can take the test at a Kawai Juku campus or at home, providing an opportunity to gauge their standing against rivals nationwide and take the first step in their studies towards current admission to elite universities.
An Opportunity for Integrated Course Students Aiming for Elite Universities to Gain Guidance for Future Studies
For 3rd-year junior high students in integrated courses, the absence of high school entrance exams means fewer learning milestones, which can lead to a slump in motivation and a decline in study drive. In light of this situation, Kawai Juku has established a new test for students nationwide in integrated courses. By offering a chance to compete with peers nationwide in similar integrated courses, it aims to spark their ambition for admission to elite universities.
The test covers two subjects: English and Mathematics. The questions are designed based on the curriculum from 1st-year junior high to 1st-year senior high, with consideration for the pace of integrated courses. Problems that assess the critical thinking skills required for university entrance exams are also included in a balanced manner. The exam is administered using paper booklets and answer sheets, with answers submitted online, allowing participation from anywhere in the country. After the test, a detailed score report will be provided, showing not only the national ranking but also the level of mastery for each question difficulty, which can be used to aid in future study planning.
This test, developed by Kawai Juku, which has a long history of creating and administering high-quality mock exams, will not only contribute to boosting the motivation of integrated course students through nationwide competition but also serve as a crucial opportunity to clarify current challenges in their pursuit of elite university admissions and to establish future study strategies. We would be grateful if you could introduce this test in your publication as an opportunity for 3rd-year junior high students in integrated courses to proactively move towards their goals.
