Kawaijuku Educational Institution announced on July 9, 2026, that it will update its AI-equipped ICT learning material "tokuMo (トクモ)" for high schools. The update will add new subjects: "Integrated History" and "Mathematics III." Furthermore, problems will be added to "Modern Japanese," "Integrated Geography," and "Advanced Geography," bringing the total number of included questions to approximately 31,000. This expansion ensures a rich volume of practice, further enhancing its usability as a tool to support teachers' instruction.

Update Details

1. Newly Includes "Integrated History" and "Mathematics III," Supporting a Wide Range of Learning Scenarios from Common Tests to University Entrance Exams

"Integrated History," a compulsory subject in high schools nationwide, and "Mathematics III," a crucial learning area for university entrance exams in science and engineering faculties, have been newly added. "Integrated History" is positioned as a subject that examines modern and contemporary history from multiple perspectives, crossing over Japanese and world history. In "tokuMo," in addition to basic knowledge-based questions, we have included problems that require reading historical sources and graphs, enabling students to progressively develop the ability to compare and consider materials and to connect historical events, as required by the Common Test.

Mathematics III focuses on fields such as limits, differentiation, and integration, which demand continuous practice and high calculation accuracy. However, as it is often studied in the third year of high school, there are many cases of insufficient practice due to limited opportunities for review. "tokuMo" emphasizes output-based learning, and to ensure sufficient practice alongside school classes, we have carefully selected and included 600 basic calculation problems for limits, differentiation, and integration. This will cover the main calculation patterns in the frequently tested areas of limits, differentiation, and integration for university entrance exams, supporting the consolidation of basic calculation skills.

Example) Integrated History: Graph interpretation problem. Example) Math III: Major calculation pattern problems in integration.

2. Increased Practice Opportunities with Problem Additions to "Modern Japanese," "Integrated Geography," and "Advanced Geography"

New problems have been added to three subjects: "Modern Japanese," "Integrated Geography," and "Advanced Geography." Combined with the newly added "Integrated History" and "Mathematics III," a total of 1,250 new problems have been added. This brings the total number of included questions across 7 subjects to approximately 31,000, enabling a wider range of problem practice. The problems are structured to allow for systematic learning from basic to university entrance exam levels, reflecting Kawaijuku's long-cultivated teaching expertise.

[Modern Japanese] 50 problems added to the reading comprehension section. Total included: 1,500 problems.

[Integrated Geography] 100 problems added. Total included: 200 problems.

[Advanced Geography] 150 problems added. Total included: 300 problems.

[Integrated History] 350 problems added.

[Mathematics III] 600 problems added.

About "tokuMo" - Turning Morning Study and After-School Time into Practice Opportunities for Entrance Exams -

"tokuMo" is a digital drill for 7 high school subjects that connects daily study time to entrance exam performance. It is easy to use for both students and teachers with its intuitive interface, allowing students to build up practice volume at their own pace without strain, while reducing the workload for teachers.

It supports the steady consolidation of academic skills, addressing the common concern of teachers: "We want to solidify the foundational academic skills that form the basis of entrance exams, but we cannot provide sufficient instruction." It can be widely utilized from solidifying fundamentals in lower grades to the final year of preparation for entrance exams.

Supported Subjects: English, Mathematics (I, A, II, B, C, III*), Japanese Language (Modern Japanese*, Classical Japanese, Classical Chinese), Science (Physics, Basic Physics, Chemistry, Basic Chemistry, Biology, Basic Biology), Geography and History (Integrated Geography*, Advanced Geography*, World History, Japanese History, Integrated History*), Civics (Public Affairs, Ethics, Politics and Economics), Information (Information I) - a total of 7 subjects.
