Kasumigaseki Capital Wins Incentive Award at the 1st Japan Logistics Grand Prize

■ About the Japan Logistics Grand Prize

The Japan Logistics Grand Prize is a newly established award system created by the Japan Federation of Logistics and Distribution Associations to broadly recognize outstanding initiatives aimed at achieving sustainable logistics. This award is an evolved integration of the "Logistics Environment Award" and the "Modal Shift Excellent Business Operator Award." In addition to the traditional targets of "environmental impact reduction" and "modal shift," it covers a diverse range of initiatives contributing to the improvement of logistics sustainability, including "inter-business collaboration," "utilization of advanced technology," and "contribution to work style reform."

As the importance of logistics continues to grow, this award is expected to connect outstanding logistics-related initiatives to the further development of the entire industry.

■ Kasumigaseki Capital's Initiative

Building a sustainable cold chain infrastructure through the development of "rental-type, multi-tenant refrigerated and frozen warehouses."

Traditionally, refrigerated and frozen warehouses were primarily owned by individual companies, posing a challenge of high initial investment burdens for shippers and logistics operators. Additionally, with the 2030 deadline for the complete phase-out of fluorocarbons approaching, structural supply-side issues are becoming more severe, especially among small and medium-sized warehouses. In response to these challenges, Kasumigaseki Capital has developed "rental-type, multi-tenant refrigerated and frozen warehouses" that reduce the initial investment burden for shippers and logistics operators. By standardizing the use of natural refrigerants, the company is proactively addressing the 2030 regulations, while also reducing environmental impact through solar power generation and high-insulation design. Furthermore, the automated frozen warehouse "LOGI FLAG TECH" fully automates the receiving, storage, and shipping processes in the frozen storage area, simultaneously reducing the workload in low-temperature environments and improving storage efficiency.

■ X NETWORK's Initiative

A collaborative platform for frozen storage that eliminates seasonal fluctuations and analog-dependent inventory management.

X NETWORK has built and operates the frozen storage platform "COLD X NETWORK," which accommodates short-term and small-lot storage. Traditional refrigerated and frozen warehouses, due to their contract practices based on long-term, large-volume agreements, faced difficulties in responding to rapid increases or decreases in storage volume due to seasonal fluctuations, as well as challenges of analog management using phone, fax, and handwritten slips. This service provides a flexible system allowing storage for the necessary period and quantity, starting from one day or one pallet, while centralizing shipping/receiving instructions and inventory management on the web. The number of registered companies has reached 572 (as of May 2026), indicating a high potential demand for flexible frozen storage.
