[Karakami H&R] Notice of Acquisition of 'Hotel Hamahigajima Resort'

Karakami HOTELS & RESORTS Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tokyo, President and Representative Director: Yamato Karakami) acquired the resort hotel "Hotel Hamahigajima Resort" in Uruma City, Okinawa Prefecture on March 31, 2026. With this acquisition, Karakami HOTELS & RESORTS marks its first entry into Okinawa Prefecture.

Hamahigajima is located on the east coast of the central part of the main island of Okinawa and is a remote island accessible by land via the Mid-Sea Road and the Hamahiga Bridge. Sacred sites related to the ancestral gods of the creation of the Ryukyus are scattered here, and it has been called the "Island of the Gods" since ancient times.

Hotel Hamahigajima Resort is a small resort hotel with 29 rooms standing on a hill on the island. From the observation bath on the top floor (4th floor), you can overlook the Pacific Ocean, and the panoramic sea spread out before your eyes, including an outdoor pool and the natural beach "Muruku Hama" just a 3-minute walk away, is its charm.

Unlike the west coast, where large-scale resort development is progressing, the original landscape of Okinawa and a quiet time remain around Hamahigajima. While maintaining the charm of this place that guests who have visited so far have cherished, we will aim to further improve our services.
