Kao to Launch 'Biore UV Aqua Rich Aqua Protect Mist 3X,' a Limited Edition with Approximately 3 Times the Volume per Push for Wide, Instant Adhesion, Following the Highly Popular 'Instant Mist UV'

Kao Corporation's skincare brand "Biore" will launch "Biore UV Aqua Rich Aqua Protect Mist 3X" as a limited edition on May 23, 2026. This new product, an evolution of the "Biore UV Aqua Rich Aqua Protect Mist" (commonly known as "Instant Mist UV"), dispenses approximately three times the amount of mist per push*1.

Launched nationwide in February 2023, "Biore UV Aqua Rich Aqua Protect Mist" is a mist-type sunscreen with high UV protection (SPF50・PA++++). It is designed for easy reapplication on the go, with a "portable concept" that makes it convenient to carry in a bag. When sprayed, the mist covers the skin like a fog, quickly transforming into a gel and adhering evenly and smoothly to the skin.

When the mist is sprayed onto the skin and spread evenly by hand, it transforms into a gel and adheres smoothly and uniformly to the skin.

Many users have embraced it for its ease of use – "easy to use with just a spray" and "easy to use for the whole body even outdoors when carried in a bag." Since its launch, cumulative shipments have exceeded 17 million units*2. However, some consumers expressed desires such as "I want to apply the mist evenly to thoroughly prevent sunburn," "I want to use it on my whole body, but pushing it many times is a hassle," and "I wish one push could cover a wider area at once."

In response, we are launching "Biore UV Aqua Rich Aqua Protect Mist 3X," which dispenses approximately three times the amount of mist per push*1 compared to the regular product, allowing for wider and more even spray. Because it dispenses generously, one push can cover a wide area evenly. Users who tried it gave high praise, saying, "I can apply it over a wide area with one push, making sun protection easy," and "The amount dispensed with one push is just right, and I don't have to push it many times," appreciating the ease of use of the generous dispensing*3.
