◆ High School Students Envision the Path to 2030! ◆ Kansai University Senior High School to Host SDGs Forum 2026 with Corporate and Organizational Collaboration

Kansai University Senior High School will hold a special educational program titled 'Kansai University Senior High School SDGs Forum 2026' on Tuesday, June 23, at the Takatsuki Muse Campus East Building.

【Key Points of This Initiative】

・145 first-year high school students will interact with 20 companies and organizations centered on the theme of SDGs

・Students will learn about each organization’s SDGs initiatives and reflect on actionable activities and research topics they can pursue

・This forum is part of the school’s “Project-Based Learning” program designed to cultivate “Koudouryoku” (the power to think and act)

The SDGs Forum aims to deepen students’ understanding of corporate and organizational efforts toward achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, and to inspire them to identify practical actions and research themes they can pursue.

On the day, 145 first-year students will engage with 20 globally active companies and organizations. Students will pre-select SDGs initiatives of interest and participate in two interactive sessions involving information gathering, Q&A, and discussions. In the 2026 edition, students will present co-creation ideas for achieving the SDGs and collaborate with companies and organizations to explore future actions.

■ Kansai University Senior High School’s “Project-Based Learning” to Cultivate “Koudouryoku”

At Kansai University Senior High School, “Project-Based Learning: Cultivating the Power to Think and Act” is a core educational philosophy aimed at developing students’ problem-finding and problem-solving skills, as well as the competencies needed to thrive as global leaders. The school’s “Project-Based Learning” encourages each student to formulate their own questions, conduct research and analysis, reflect critically, and communicate findings through iterative inquiry. Emphasizing engagement with open-ended challenges, independent thinking, and collaborative learning, this approach fosters deep intellectual growth. Since 2017, this forum has been a key component, effectively stimulating students’ curiosity by confronting real-world challenges related to the SDGs. Through project-based learning, the school aims to equip students with “Koudouryoku”—the ability to proactively shape their own futures and become active contributors in the global community.
