Kansai Airports Obtains DX Certification as Defined by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry

Kansai Airports Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that it has obtained certification under the "DX Certification System" by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), in recognition of the integrated advancement of its management and digital utilization. The "DX Certification System" is a scheme where the government certifies companies that have made efforts corresponding to the "Digital Governance Code*" and are recognized as ready for DX promotion, based on the "Act on Promotion of Information Processing." Our company aims to create three digital values towards the realization of a smart airport: "improving the passenger experience, and by extension, passenger satisfaction," "optimizing operational and business processes, and reducing the need for human resources," and "supporting revenue growth and reducing overall operational costs." We believe this certification was achieved because our system for promoting management and digital utilization in an integrated manner, ensuring that business strategy and digital measures are aligned and progressing, was highly evaluated. We also believe this certification recognizes our internal efforts, such as the framework for considering the utilization and promotion of DX across internal organizations, the development and securing of DX human resources, and the company-wide utilization of AI and data.
