I am Shingo Ashizawa, and I have just assumed the position of President of Kanda University of International Studies.

Under the founding philosophy that "Language is the cornerstone of peace connecting the world," our university has been committed to fostering individuals who contribute to intercultural understanding and the international community, based on language education. In an era where international affairs are becoming increasingly complex and conflicts are ceaseless, the importance of understanding and empathizing with others through dialogue is growing ever greater. Furthermore, the world is currently seeing an expansion of a "skill-focused" employment environment, and the abilities and skills demanded by society are continuously changing significantly. In such times, what is crucial is not the acquisition of temporary knowledge or skills, but the ability to continue learning, adapt to change, and keep learning throughout one's life.

Kanda University of International Studies fosters the ability to learn continuously throughout life through an educational environment that supports each student's proactive learning and diverse opportunities for international exchange.
