Fully Wireless Split Keyboard 'Waffree' Releases US Layout Model

Kanazawa Engineering Systems Co., Ltd. will release the US layout model "Waffree US" in the fully wireless, split-design keyboard "Waffree" series on April 6, 2026. Following the JIS layout model released on January 10, 2025, this new variation expands choices for users such as engineers and creators who regularly use US layouts.

Product Overview

Waffree is a keyboard with separated left and right units.

Both the connection between the left and right units and the host PC support Bluetooth, allowing completely cable-free use. (USB connection is also supported)

The casing is made of machined aluminum, and the interior adopts a gasket mount structure.

The key layout can be changed using the dedicated tool "WaffreeTool".

Since the keymap is stored in the onboard memory, you can operate with the same keymap even if the environment changes.

Main Features of Waffree

• Split Design & Left/Right Wireless: Left and right units can be placed according to shoulder width. Ensures freedom in desk layout.

• Choice of Connection Method: In addition to Bluetooth connection, USB wired connection is also supported (Bluetooth supports multi-pairing for up to 5 devices).

• Keymap Customization: Edit the keymap with the dedicated tool "WaffreeTool" and save it to the onboard memory. Settings are maintained across environments. macOS presets are also available.

• Switch Selection and Replacement: Choose from 4 types of key switches at the time of purchase. Hot-swappable specification means no soldering is required after purchase.
