Kaname Project Inc. (Headquarters: Aichi Prefecture, Director: Taichiro Endo) provided support for the construction and trial of a generative AI-powered feedback system in the research study "Research on the Construction of a Feedback System Intended to Improve Learning Performance" (hereinafter, "this research") conducted by the Educational DX Department of the Saitama Prefectural General Education Center.
This research aims to improve the quality of reflection in teacher training by providing "individually optimized feedback" tailored to each participant's written content using generative AI, and to verify its technical and educational effectiveness. It was conducted as an initiative to transform the conventional "one-way reflection of merely answering" in training, which was a challenge, into "interactive learning" through dialogue with generative AI.
Overview of Saitama Prefectural General Education Center and Educational DX Department
The Saitama Prefectural General Education Center is a training and research institution established in 1948 (Showa 23) as the predecessor of the Saitama Prefectural Education Research Institute, with the aim of improving the quality of teachers and staff and the quality of education.
In recent years, based on the "new teacher training system" introduced with the aim of building "Japanese-style school education in the Reiwa era," the center has been actively engaged in various projects under three pillars: research and development, training, and educational counseling.
The Educational DX Department of the center is working to promote the "transformation" of educational activities through the presentation of advanced examples of desired learning/school operations and the utilization of ICT (digital) technology, thereby assisting in the promotion of DX in schools and the development of DX human resources.
Overview of Kaname Project's Support in This Research
In this research, Kaname Project provided support in the following areas through participation and discussions in the research review committee (system construction and technical verification):
-
Design and development of the generative AI feedback system
-
Application to specialized training (Educational DX Department specialized training)
-
Measurement of the effectiveness of generative AI feedback system utilization, and summarization of future challenges, etc.
The developed generative AI feedback system was built upon Kaname Project's existing AI feedback system.
Furthermore, we supported the trial introduction in specialized training (Educational DX Department specialized training) and the verification of the technical and educational effectiveness of generative AI generating feedback for participants' written reflections.
As a result of surveying participants on the appropriateness of the feedback, an acceptance rate of 3.3 (out of 4 points) was confirmed in participant evaluations.
In addition, the following qualitative effects were confirmed:
-
Retention of learning content and deepening of introspection
-
Increased learning motivation through individualized support
-
Stimulation of learning continuity and development
-
Cultivation of awareness for promoting educational DX

Kaname Project intends to continue collaborating with various educational institutions to promote educational DX utilizing AI and other technologies.
