'Galaxy Express 999 THE GALAXY EXPERIENCE: That Journey Still Continues.' is an exhibition that expands the immortal anime film masterpiece, the 1979 theatrical version of 'Galaxy Express 999', offering it not as a movie to watch, but as a space to experience.
The audience does not act as viewers of a video, but rather all become passengers on the Galaxy Express, embarking on a journey to space and experiencing a roughly 30-minute video that passes right through the story.

The experience of the story begins at the entrance of the venue. A passenger car modeled after the Galaxy Express is placed in the foyer; when you sit in the passenger seat, the galaxy spreads out from the train window, and the 999 runs toward Earth.
While watching the video that touches upon the protagonist Tetsuro Hoshino's departure, you arrive at the starting station, Megalopolis Station. This is a visual space of approximately 1,000 sqm projected by 32 newly introduced latest 4K laser projectors for this exhibition. Enveloped in sound and light in this vast space, you enter the world of Galaxy Express 999 and become a galactic traveler alongside Tetsuro.
In this exhibition, with respect for the 1979 theatrical version of 'Galaxy Express 999', it expands to the space that might have extended outside the film, providing the experience of 'existing' within the story world. For this new story, composer Kenji Kawai has written original music throughout the entire piece, breathing new life into the expanded movie world. 3D surround sound is introduced in the venue, realizing an immersive sound space that includes not only music but also dialogue and sound effects from the play.
At the end of the journey, Godiego's masterpiece 'Galaxy Express 999 (THE GALAXY EXPRESS 999)' envelops the space. Together with the video of a new departure, it concludes the grand epic.
