Global Learner's Institute (hereinafter, GLI), which supports students in advancing to top boarding schools both domestically and internationally, will hold information sessions for its residential program "Summer Camp in Japan 2026," scheduled for summer 2026, from late April to May. We also offer seminars for families who are considering junior high school entrance exams and also wish to keep the option of studying abroad in mind.
■ 9 Days to Experience "Global Standards" While in Japan
"Summer Camp in Japan 2026" will be held for 8 nights and 9 days from Saturday, July 18, 2026, to Sunday, July 26, at the Fujihakone area, based in Miura Kaigan, Kanagawa Prefecture. Participants of the same generation will gather from diverse countries and regions, including the UK, Hawaii, Singapore, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, Cambodia, and Uzbekistan, to live together using English as a common language. The program is designed to provide not just English language learning, but also experience in decision-making and acting within a cross-cultural environment.
■ "Culture x Inquiry" Program to Develop Thinking Skills
Small-group inquiry-based learning will be conducted on themes of Japanese culture such as Wadaiko (Japanese drumming), calligraphy, tea ceremony, and Kintsugi (the art of repairing pottery with gold). Under the guidance of experts in each field, the program goes beyond mere "experience" to cultivate the ability to think, verbalize, and express oneself. This foundational skill is applicable to both domestic entrance exams and overseas advancement.
■ 1 Hour with an Educational Seminar
These information sessions will include a program explanation as well as an educational seminar for parents. We will organize themes such as:
How necessary are junior high school entrance exams?
The essential differences between domestic and overseas advancement
Skills common to children who will thrive in the future
By attending the summer camp explanation, participants can gain a deeper understanding of "why such a program is necessary now," shifting their perspective from "choices for exams" to "choices for life design."
