Kumamoto Asahi Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (President: Keisuke Takeuchi) will hold the "Grand Sumo Amakusa Tournament" at the Amakusa Citizen Center Gymnasium (Amakusa City, Kumamoto Prefecture) on November 29, 2026 (Sun). The tour, where you can get up close with sumo wrestlers, will feature various events that can be enjoyed by everyone from sumo beginners to fans. Don't miss the unique performances of the tour, such as "Shokkiri," which elicits laughter by comically demonstrating forbidden moves and rare winning techniques not seen in the main tournaments, and "Sumo Jinku," sung with unique melodic patterns. This event also commemorates the 20th anniversary of the merger of Amakusa City. You can fully enjoy the charm of Grand Sumo throughout the day, including exciting Makuuchi bouts and public practice sessions!
