Youth Variety Show 'Mangachi - The Path of Manga in the Reiwa Era,' Following Students Devoted to Manga, to Air on KAB Kumamoto Asahi Broadcasting

Kumamoto Asahi Broadcasting Co., Ltd. (KAB) will air a special program, "Mangachi - The Path of Manga in the Reiwa Era," on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 3:30 PM. The program is a youth support variety show documenting the three-year journey of students in the manga department at Kumamoto Prefectural Takamori High School—the only public high school in Japan with such a department. It follows the first graduating class as they take their next steps toward realizing their dreams. The show is hosted by Hiro Shimono and Rika Mayama, with Daisuke Namikawa and Mai Fuchigami as special supporters. It will be available for catch-up streaming on TVer and is scheduled for broadcast in other parts of the Kyushu-Okinawa area.
