Directly connected to Ōimachi Station, OIMACHI TRACKS is a large-scale integrated complex with a total floor area of approximately 259,100㎡, comprising offices, a hotel, commercial facilities, and residences. As JR East promotes urban development between Hamamatsucho and Ōimachi under the concept of the "Broad Shinagawa Area," this facility serves as a "hub for co-creating urban lifestyles," playing a key role in the initiative. It features JR East Group’s first serviced residence, an open-air mall-style commercial area, and a disaster-resilience hub capable of accommodating approximately 3,000 stranded commuters.
In conjunction with the opening of OIMACHI TRACKS, JTOWER implemented a comprehensive communication environment across the entire facility using its indoor infrastructure sharing solution, which consolidates telecom equipment from multiple mobile carriers. By leveraging infrastructure sharing, JTOWER achieved space-saving, energy efficiency, and reduced material usage and construction labor, resulting in a more efficient and environmentally responsible network environment.
Since launching commercial services for its indoor infrastructure sharing solution in 2014, JTOWER has steadily increased the number of installations across a wide range of facility categories, including commercial facilities, office buildings, hospitals, government facilities, logistics centers, arenas, and exhibition halls. In 2020, the company completed the development of shared equipment compatible with 5G networks and has since accelerated large-scale deployments, strengthening its capabilities. As of March 2026, JTOWER boasts 841 domestic installations (including both 4G and 5G), the highest number in Japan.
Going forward, as a pioneer in infrastructure sharing, JTOWER will continue to maximize its technical expertise and accumulated knowledge in the telecommunications field to contribute to the digital transformation of society.

【What is Infrastructure Sharing?】 Infrastructure sharing enables the consolidation of network equipment previously installed separately by individual mobile carriers. Compared to standalone deployments by carriers, this approach reduces costs related to equipment, operation, and maintenance, enabling more efficient network deployment. Additionally, it reduces power consumption, material usage, and the number of construction visits, contributing to lower environmental impact.
【About the Indoor Infrastructure Sharing Solution】 In large buildings exceeding 10,000㎡ in floor area, there is a high need for indoor mobile signal enhancement. By applying infrastructure sharing to indoor signal improvement, real estate operators benefit from space savings, reduced electricity costs, and a single point of contact. Mobile carriers benefit from reduced capital and operational expenditures, while mobile users enjoy improved network quality and higher satisfaction. https://www.jtower.co.jp/service/indoor/
