From January to March 2026, adoption continued to progress in a wide range of facilities, including office buildings, commercial facilities, hotels, hospitals, and arenas.
Especially during fiscal year 2025 (April 2025 - March 2026), the "replacement" of existing 4G communication equipment with infrastructure sharing solutions during equipment renewal became fully fledged. Since 2023, JTOWER has been promoting adoption in response to the intentions of various mobile carriers to renew their equipment. Including existing facilities, we are approaching a major turning point where the indoor communication environment in large facilities is shifting to infrastructure sharing.
JTOWER Indoor Infrastructure Sharing Solution: Trend in Number of Adopted Properties*1
*1 Properties where radio wave emission has been completed and sales recording has commenced.
JTOWER began commercial service of its indoor infrastructure sharing solution in 2014, and since then, has steadily increased the number of adopted properties in a wide range of facility categories, including commercial facilities, office buildings, hospitals, government facilities, logistics facilities, and arenas/stadiums. In 2020, we completed the development of shared equipment compatible with 5G and strengthened our system by fully launching its adoption.
As a pioneer in infrastructure sharing, we will continue to maximize the knowledge we have cultivated to contribute to the development of a more efficient network infrastructure.
[What is Infrastructure Sharing?]
Infrastructure sharing makes it possible to share network equipment that each mobile carrier previously developed individually. Compared to a mobile carrier developing it alone, it can reduce costs for equipment, operation, and maintenance, thereby achieving more efficient network development. Furthermore, it contributes to reducing environmental impact by cutting power consumption, materials, and the number of construction cycles.
[About Indoor Infrastructure Sharing Solution]
In large buildings with a total floor area exceeding 10,000 square meters, there is a high necessity to develop an indoor mobile signal environment. By utilizing infrastructure sharing for indoor communication environment development, real estate developers can benefit from space saving, reduced electricity costs, and a single point of contact. Mobile carriers can benefit from reduced capital investment and operating expenses, and mobile users can benefit from improved satisfaction due to an enhanced communication environment.
