JTEKT Corporation (Head Office: Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture; President: Yoshihito Kondo; hereinafter 'JTEKT') will exhibit at the Human & Car Technology Exhibition 2026 YOKOHAMA (organized by the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan) to be held at 'Pacifico Yokohama' in Yokohama City from May 27th to 29th. JTEKT will also participate in the online exhibition held from May 19th to June 9th, coinciding with the physical exhibition.

Based on its mission to 'connect technologies and bring smiles to everyone working on Earth,' the JTEKT Group has set its JTEKT Group 2030 Vision as 'A solution provider that creates the future of mobility society through manufacturing and manufacturing equipment' by 2030. To transform into this solution provider, the company is engaged in corporate activities on two fronts: adding high value to existing products and challenging new domains.

[Exhibition Overview]

At this exhibition, under the concept of 'Through co-creation, challenges transform into possibilities,' we will introduce the potential of various solutions expanded through co-creation with partners, aiming to realize the three materialities that we prioritize: <Contributing to people's safe, secure, and comfortable lives>, <Protecting a rich Earth for future generations>, and <Providing new value to manufacturing>.

[Main Exhibition Solutions]

<Contributing to people's safe, secure, and comfortable lives>

・SyncusteerTM (Steer-by-Wire System)

This steering system connects the steering function of the steering wheel and the turning function of the tires via electrical signals. As there is no mechanical connection structure between the steering wheel and the tires, it contributes to cockpit innovation. By varying the gear ratio according to vehicle speed, it enables new value propositions such as balancing vehicle maneuverability at low speeds with stability at high speeds.

・Pairdriver®

This cooperative steering system achieves high traceability to target trajectories and smooth steering intervention through high-precision steering angle control. It ensures stable control regardless of differences in steering mechanisms between vehicles.

At this exhibition, we will introduce the new parking assist function 'Interactive Parking Assist.' This system proposes automated parking where the driver can intuitively select a parking position by steering wheel operation, and the operating status is clearly communicated through haptic feedback. Furthermore, cooperative steering allows the driver to communicate naturally with the system, realizing a reassuring automated parking experience.

・Integrated Steering and Drive Unit

This integrated unit combines the functions of 'running,' 'turning,' 'stopping,' and 'reversing.' By placing it at the corners of the vehicle, it can provide a flat, spacious interior and a low-floor for easy entry and exit, contributing to 'human-friendly mobility.' Utilizing this unit enables the provision of solutions that can contribute to various needs such as walkable cities, nursing care/medical fields, and factory logistics.

<Protecting a rich Earth for future generations>

・Factory CN Solution

This is a CN solution aimed at local production and consumption of green energy in factories.

JTEKT views carbon neutrality (hereinafter 'CN') as a societal issue and is collaborating with government and businesses to conduct 'CN social demonstrations' at the Kariya CN Lab and Hanazono CN Model Factory. We will introduce the development and demonstration of CN solutions through an energy management system that connects power storage, hydrogen production, storage, and use, utilizing JTEKT's cultivated equipment control technology.

・Hydrogen Solution

High-pressure hydrogen tank valves, pressure reducing valves (2nd generation)

Valves: These valves are installed in tanks storing high-pressure hydrogen, which is the fuel for FCEVs, to seal and supply the high-pressure hydrogen.

Pressure Reducing Valves (2nd generation): These valves reduce the high-pressure hydrogen supplied from the valve to a pressure suitable for use in fuel cell stacks.

Both the valves and pressure reducing valves are installed in Toyota Motor Corporation's FCEV*1 'MIRAI*2.'

*1 'FCEV' and *2 'MIRAI' are registered trademarks of Toyota Motor Corporation.

High-pressure hydrogen storage system

We will exhibit an image model of a high-pressure hydrogen storage system utilizing the above high-pressure hydrogen tank valves and pressure reducing valves (2nd generation).

<Providing new value to manufacturing>

・Ultra-high-speed deep groove ball bearings for eAxles (First exhibition)

These deep groove ball bearings support up to 40,000 r/min. To meet the needs for miniaturization and higher speeds in motors for electric vehicles, the cage material and design have been optimized to solve seizure during high-speed rotation.

This technology enables an increase in motor rotation speed, achieving the same output with smaller torque. eAx
