■ What is the Asian Science Camp?
The Asian Science Camp is a venue for participating students from Asia to directly experience the fascination of science and deepen exchanges among students through lectures by Nobel laureates and world-class researchers, as well as discussion sessions led by speakers.
It was conceived during the Lindau Meeting in 2005 by Dr. Masatoshi Koshiba (2002 Nobel Prize in Physics laureate) and Dr. Yuan T. Lee (1986 Nobel Prize in Chemistry laureate) who wanted to start an exchange program between top-level scholars and young students for the youth of Asia. Recently, it was held in Daejeon, Korea (2022, online), and Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand (2025).
■ Asian Science Camp 2025
At the Asian Science Camp 2025 held at Suranaree University of Technology in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand, many events were implemented, centering on lectures (Plenary Session) by 3 Nobel laureates and other leading speakers from around the world, "Camp" sessions for direct discussion with researchers, "Poster Sessions" where students from different countries collaboratively created posters on given themes, and "Excursions" to deepen understanding of the local climate and culture.
