[Deadline April 27 Noon] Applications Open for Asian Science Camp 2026 Participants

JST (President: Kazuhito Hashimoto) is accepting applications for participants to attend the 16th Asian Science Camp (ASC2026), which will be held in Hong Kong from August 2 to August 8, 2026. The target applicants are pupils or students (equivalent to 2nd year of high school to 2nd year of university) who are interested in science in the fields of physics, chemistry, biology, and mathematics. Expenses such as domestic and international travel and accommodation are basically free of charge, with no cost burden on the participants (passport acquisition fees and personal expenses during the stay are self-funded). The program will be conducted entirely in English together with pupils and students from other countries. It is a great opportunity to receive lectures from world-class scientists, meet peers from various Asian countries, and engage in direct dialogue. High school (2nd-3rd year), ii. Secondary school (5th year or higher of the upper division), iii. College of technology (2nd-5th year), iv. University or college (2nd year or below) (2) Have high motivation and outstanding ability in natural sciences (physics, chemistry, biology) or mathematics, and be able to participate in the entire schedule including discussions and lectures in English. (*) (3) Be able to act appropriately as a member of the Japanese delegation. * As all ASC programs are conducted in English, it is recommended to have an English proficiency level of B1 rank or higher on the CEFR (Note) (equivalent to Eiken Grade 2).
