'KANAGAWA Local Sake FESTIVAL 2026' to be Held for the First Time on Saturday, June 27, 2026

JR Yokohama Shonan City Create Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Daikan-cho, Hiratsuka City, Kanagawa / President: Osamu Tamura) announced that in cooperation with the Kanagawa Sake Brewers Association and Yokohama Fun Company Inc. (Headquarters: Nishi-ku, Yokohama City, Kanagawa), a special event to promote local charm, the 'KANAGAWA Local Sake FESTIVAL 2026', will be held at the 6th-floor hall of Lusca Chigasaki. Visitors can taste local Kanagawa sakes all at once, which are usually hard to find outside the region.

Background and Thoughts Behind the Event Planning

There are many world-class sake breweries in Kanagawa. Traditional flavors rooted in Kanagawa's land and new flavors born from innovative challenges. We want more people to know the charm of both. Our goal is to correctly convey this charm through this event, have participants taste it, and become 'fans of the breweries'. Furthermore, we hope this event will encourage people to actually visit the local areas.

We propose this as your first step to experience the diverse characteristics of Kanagawa's sake and find your 'favorite brewery'.

'KANAGAWA Local Sake FESTIVAL 2026'

In addition to local sake from 12 breweries belonging to the Kanagawa Sake Brewers Association, pairing foods incorporating Kanagawa ingredients that go well with sake will also be provided.

Moreover, people from breweries whom you usually can only meet locally will participate, conveying the charm of community-based sake brewing.

Held in a cool, fully indoor space directly connected to Chigasaki Station!
